if you loved Voyage of the botttom of the sea, this book is NOT for you. The author injects his personal opinion in each section and compares the production of voyage with the likes of Star trek, and complains endlessly how the Voyage crew was all milky white males, like that really matters. Factual errors abound.   More an annotated catalogue of sea -voyage narratives than anything else, this is a decent enough source book for anyone interested in looking further.
